Purpose and Mission
As a local church in the capital city of Lansing, we felt the burden to share with the people of our great state of Michigan the issues that need to be brought to prayer. Instead of just our church praying, we hope that thousands will join us in prayer for our state lawmakers and the laws that they are passing. Hence, Capital Prayer League was birthed to form a team of people to pray for Michigan and its laws and its lawmakers.
II Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways: then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
If we could draw near to the throne of God, as Nehemiah, we could move two thrones—one earthly throne and one heavenly throne. For the cause of Christ, we could make a difference.
Would you daily pray with us for our state’s lawmakers and for the laws that are “on the floor” that could affect our religious freedoms and our individual lives?
